Morning in Milan

A waiter tosses a table napkin while preparing al fresco tables at the Caffe Duomo, a restaurant near the Milan cathedral square:

Buon Anno 2008

Fireworks light up the sky over the seaside town of Vernazza in the Italian Riviera:

Spent new year's eve for the second time in Italy. The fireworks were nice, but the drinking and dancing afterwards at the medieval town square was even nicer. This is by far my most memorable new year's day celebration ever.

The second most memorable was last year's, when I did midnight karaoke with a family in Central Thailand :)

Beruwela Coast

Kids from a nearby fishing village pose for tha camera in Beruwela, on the south coast of Sri Lanka:

This photo was taken in December 2004, about a week before the Boxing Day tsunami came in and devastated this country's shoreline. I hope these kids are ok.

These photos were taken on assignment for Spa Asia. The story never ran.

Thru the Legs

Ooops, I meant lens...

David, a regular student in my photography classes, shows the great lengths a dedicated photographer will go to just to get that shot.
